David Kinnaman
David Kinnaman is the President and Strategic Leader of The Barna Group. Since joining Barna in 1995, David has designed and analyzed nearly 500 projects for a variety of clients, including Campus Crusade for Christ, Columbia House, Compassion International, Easter Seals, Focus on the Family, Habitat for Humanity, Integrity Media, InterVarsity, NBC-Universal, Salvation Army, Sony, Thomas Nelson, Time-Life, Prison Fellowship, World Vision, Zondervan and many others.
As a spokesperson for the firm’s research, he is frequently quoted in major media outlets (such as USA Today, Fox News, Chicago Tribune, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Dallas Morning News, and The Wall Street Journal). He is also in demand as a speaker about ministry trends, today’s teenagers, the profile of young leaders, and generational changes. He is the author of the best-selling book, unChristian: What a New Generation Really Thinks About Christianity, and the Barna report, Ministry to Mosaics: Teens and the Supernatural.
The son of a lifelong pastor, David has served in various capacities within congregations he has attended, including working with teenagers, teaching, and providing strategic consulting. He graduated summa cum laude from Biola University (La Mirada, California), where he served as Student Chaplain.
David and his wife, Jill, live in Ventura, California, with their three kids.
Thom Rainer
Thom S. Rainer is the ninth president of LifeWay Christian Resources and is responsible for leadership of the Southern Baptist Convention’s education, church programs and publishing agency. Rainer assumed his position at LifeWay on Feb. 1, 2006.
David Platt
David Platt, senior pastor at Brook Hills Church in Birmingham, AL, is deeply devoted to Christ and His Word. His first love in ministry is disciple-making, the simple biblical model of teaching God’s word, mentoring others, and sharing faith. He has traveled extensively to teach the Bible and church leaders throughout the United States and around the world.
A life-long learner, David has earned 2 undergraduate and three advanced degrees. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Georgia, and a Master of Divinity, Master of Theology, and a Doctor of Philosophy from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Jeff Iorg
Dr. Jeff Iorg became the seventh president of Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in August of 2004. His background includes experience as a pastor, church planter and denominational leader. He came to the Seminary from Vancouver, Washington, where he was Executive Director-Treasurer of the 425 churches in the Northwest Baptist Convention.
Before his leadership at the state convention level, Dr. Iorg pastored two churches. In 1989, he moved to Oregon with the desire to plant a church. The result was Greater Gresham Baptist Church in Gresham, Oregon, which is now the largest Southern Baptist church in Oregon.
He has also served as pastor of Green Valley Baptist Church in Missouri, and as a staff pastor of Elmcrest Baptist Church in Texas. Since 1990, he has taught preaching, evangelism and leadership as an adjunct professor at Golden Gate Seminary’s Pacific Northwest Campus.
Iorg has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, a master of divinity degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri and a doctor of ministry degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
Iorg and his wife, Ann, have three children—Casey, Melody and Caleb.
Worship Leader
Dave Hunt
Dave Hunt has been leading worship for 13 years. Somewhere in the middle of all the worship leading he served as an associate student minister, a university minister, a worship pastor, and helped plant a church. Dave’s been nominated for a Dove award, has a cut on Casting Crowns Lifesong, produced an album or two, and wrote or co-wrote nearly every song on nearly every album he’s done. Dave has led at all sorts of worship gatherings, from congregations of 50 to crowds of 12,000. Dave gets out of the way and leads you straight to God.
