Overview

After years of trying so hard to live the Christian life on your own, you’re exhausted. You’re doing things “for Jesus,” but you can’t figure out why you’re so worn out and confused. Well, news flash: God never meant for you to go it alone. He meant for Jesus to live His life through yours. Now you just have to learn how to not be so control freakish when it comes to your life.

In this study, you’ll discover that understanding your unique identity in Christ is dependent upon a kind of “life exchange”—our feeble lives for His. Along the way, you will be challenged to examine your motivation for obedience, learn how to use the power of the Holy Spirit, and connect yourself to God’s Word along the way. God never intended for us to live the Christian life alone, and He provides joy and victory when we take a breather from trying so hard.

Joel Engle

Adopted into a Christian home as a teen, Joel Engle became heavily involved in church and moved convincingly through a church system packed with religious activities. Meanwhile, he wrestled with serious doubts. God used years of spiritual struggle and doubt to transform Engle and teach him how to navigate the difficulties of faith through living an exchanged life. Today, he is a nationally recognized worship communicator who uses his gifts as a musician, songwriter, and worship leader to impact lives and glorify God.
