How would you describe what you do at LifeWay?
I help the friends on our team get the internal support they need to get their projects off the ground and completed, as well as helping guide and shape the long-term mission of Threads. One of things I like most about what I do is getting out to meet with church leaders to talk about what they can do to reach this generation for Christ.
Why do you like being on the Threads team?
I genuinely love the people on our team and the passion they have for what they do. I like them as people and followers of Christ and I like what I see in them in their daily journey with Christ. Plus, they're just a lot of fun each day. There are many days when I am little down with life, and they roll in, get me laughing and show me a good time. One other thing: We have hands-down the most talented team you could imagine. They are world-class in what they do.
If you could make up your own title for your job, what would it be?
Catalyst/Encourager/Cat-Herder
What are a few of your ministry passions?
Leading small groups and getting to know the people in those groups in a deep, meaningful way is tremendously rewarding for me. Seeing their lives being changed by the love and power of Jesus Christ is an incredible rush for me. Being heavily involved in meeting the needs of people who are desperate for help in our world today -- whether they are three blocks from me, three miles, 300 miles or 3,000 miles is a passion point for me as well. God is also teaching me to have a deep energy for prayer -- close minute-by-minute communication with Him -- and that is something that was absent for me for the first part of my life.
