Forgiveness Offered
This story reminds us of our own desperate need for Jesus’ forgiveness. How has His forgiveness and love changed you?
Go
Is “evangelism” a scary word to you? It doesn’t have to be. This week we’ll look at a story about John the Baptist and Jesus’ first disciples, from John 1, and we’ll see that evangelism can be as simple as sharing what you know with the people you know.
Serve
This week we’re looking at the “serve” aspect of our spiritual growth, which examines the various roles and attitudes toward serving the church. We all have gifts we can (and are expected to) bring to the church body, but how do we learn what those gifts are? And how do we make sure we’re serving with the right motives? These are the questions we’ll examine together this week, with Paul’s words in Romans 12 as our guide.
Grow
Sanctification is a lifelong process, and it can be overwhelming. Thankfully, we’re not left to our own devices: The Bible equips us with everything we need to grow in wisdom and good works.
Fall LifeMatters iMix and NEW Changes!
Believe it or not, Fall is upon us, and that means it’s time for a new quarter of LifeMatters!
Agree
Disagreements. Conflict. If we have breath in our bodies, these things are inevitable. Since we can’t avoid disagreements, we should instead seek out ways to respond to disagreements in a way that glorifies God.
Encourage
We’re tight on time this week. Here are the Web features for use with this Sunday’s lesson. As always, let us know your thoughts on this week’s study!
Forgive
Forgiveness is easy to discuss and hard to do. Our example for forgiveness is Christ, who models perfect forgiveness.
Love
For the month of August, our Bible study will focus on four “one another” commands in Scripture. Not only do these commands teach us how to be more like Christ, they also teach us how to have healthy, godly relationships with the people in our lives. We begin with the most important—love.
