Thank you so much for your weekly devotional. While I am not in the age bracket typically you deal with, I have and will be working with College / Career age young people. For 4 years, I worked with middle and high school students and now moving up to an older age bracket. Your words are truely comforting. My prayer to everyone is that they don’t find themselves at the end of their life with empty hands. Until you completely surrendor yourself to the Lord and strive to do things according to His will, you will live an empty life. Being much older (47 years young):), I can tell you that until I put my trust in the Lord and focus on His Kingdom here on earth, everything I did prior was in vain. I now know I have and will continue to reach out to the lost and to the new borns in Christ. Until the Whole World Hears the Truth.

Thanks so much Mark for your ministry to college/carrer young adults. We need people who passionate about the Lord to pour into our generation. As followers of Christ it should always be our mission to reach the lost and disciple them too. I know that those two things will never be in vain! May the Lord bless you and your ministry. May He confirm and strengthen the work of your hands.
In Christ,

What a rhema word for the start of a new chapter 2009. Hi Regina, I appreciate those encouraging and thought-provoking words that causes me to see the bigger picture of life for myself and the young adults ministry that I am a part of.But how do I know when God is in a ‘work’? I will stay tuned, keep it coming. Jamie L.

To know if God is in a “work”, all you have to do is test it against the Scriptures. If what you are doing does not go against the Word of God and you are winning souls for Christ, then rest assured God is in your actions

Hey Jamie,
What a great question to consider! Thankfully the answer is not mysterious or difficult to grasp at all. We will explore it in the coming weeks, but I think Mark is right on that when Scripture is at the forefront of our thinking we will be able to discern what God’s will is in every circumstance. I’m glad that you’re thinkning about the big picture of life—-I am praying that God will speak to your heart and reveal to you His way for you personally in the coming weeks even more than He has already. I trust that His Word will not return void. Thankful for you! See you next week Lord willing.
In Christ,

Thank you Regina for your Word for us this week.
It was a much needed reminder to focus on teh things the Lord has called me to do. I spend much time and energy worrying about those “other” things that are in vain. I pray this year will end with me praising Him for all He has accomplished through me, His faithful servant.

Hello Regina!!
Thanks for that great word!! As a young college student, it is important for me to remember to include God in everything that we do. It is very easy to get distracted by the world and forget that God is still in control of our lives. I look forward to this week devotional!! Thanks again!
