Thanks to God for Being Made Fully Alive
In Luke 24:32, Jesus’ disciples speak of their “hearts being ablaze” while walking with the resurrected Lord on the road to Emmaus. At the conclusion of Romans 6, Paul talks about living fully “alive” thanks to the gift of Jesus, given by God.
If you ask me, that’s one of the real benefits of Christianity you can see clearly in His people on this earth: people refusing to go through the motions of life. Refusing to settle. Refusing to be pessimistic.
People who are fully alive in Christ shine with His love, with His energy, with His wisdom, with His giftedness, with His Heart. You can see right through them, right into the eyes of Christ.
Right now, all of us on the Threads team are supercharged. After an endless road of research and long hours, our first Bible studies are now available to help you build real biblical community and take a fresh look at God’s Word. The temptation would be to congratulate ourselves on a job well done and leave it at that.
The reality is, it’s time to honor and thank God for breathing life into all of us and showing us His glory through this entire journey.
The past 14 months have been filled with tough times. Some of us have spent considerable time in hospitals. We have had tough relationship issues. We have had struggles we can’t even tell you about. We have had unbelievable highs and lows.
But all of us on the Threads team can tell you this: God has brought us to life on this journey. Full, abundant and amazing life.
We have never been more conscious of His presence.
We have never been more conscious of the need to confer with Him in prayer.
We have never been more thankful for His guidance.
We have never been more thankful for His providence.
We have never been more thankful for the people He has sent to us.
We have never been more thankful for His churches that are fully “alive.”
God has brought Threads to life and we praise and thank Him for that fact. But we praise Him with an even louder voice for bringing us all fully “alive” in Christ.
Our prayer is that you would be brought more fully alive through these studies and through the events and resources we will be bringing to you in the next few months and years.
May God bless you all!
