Lead a Weblog for Young Adult Leaders

My wife calls me saying there is a bird loose in our house. After running home to play knight in shining armor—chasing the bird around the house and finally sending it to freedom—here are a few things I learned about leadership and experience in the process.

Just about everywhere a member of our team goes—whether it’s to a church, an event like Catalyst, college campus or citywide gathering of young adults—we get one simple question: “So, just what is Threads?” I’m not a sound bite kind of guy, but let me give it my best shot.

At the end of the week, I will be turning 30. I’ve spent the last few days reflecting on what I have learned thus far specifically regarding leadership. In honor of the last few fleeting days I have in my twenties, I’ve come up with a list of 29 leadership principles that I’ve learned so far.

As Christians, we are to run from evil & do good, but we have trouble sometimes seeing what really is right & wrong (or black & white). Other times we struggle dealing with topics because the Bible simple isn’t black & white in dealing with them.

Whether it’s Hollywood, Al Gore, or the public address announcer at the baseball game telling us that “good sports always recycle,” we are constantly reminded of the importance of being environmentally conscious. But what does the Bible teach about our responsibility to His creation?
