This the tale of two churches who had a dream of reaching young adults. Both had great, enthusiastic, visionary leaders. Both had great facilities. Both had fantastic worship leaders. One ministry has succeeded beyond its founders’ wildest dreams. The other ministry is no longer in existence. So, what made the difference? Relationships. Community. Connection.

Young adults are falling away from church and many are finding church irrelevant to their lives. What’s the problem? LifeWay Research, a department of LifeWay Christian Resources, sought to find answers by conducting an eight-month research project interviewing adults 18 to 34.
