How would you describe what you do at LifeWay?
I try to create Bible studies that are relevant to young adults. I try to take the timeless principles of God's Word and apply them to today's culture.
Why do you like being on the Threads team?
I love being on a team of incredibly random people divinely placed together that share a heart for reconnecting our generation with the church. Wow that sounds formal. In less formal words, I love working with a group of young adults that are not afraid to dream big and enjoy what God has given us to do. Work is a lot less draining when you can have fun.
If you could make up your own title for your job, what would it be?
This one is tough. What I try to do is change the way we "do" and "view" on-going Bible studies. When I worked at a golf course growing up, I got to drive the driving range cart and pick up range balls. I referred to myself as the Driving Range Technician. Somehow adding the word technician made getting hit by golf balls all day more tolerable and much more significant. So I will go with Change Technician.
What are a few of your ministry passions?
Loving my wife and raising our two year old daughter. Teaching the Word in ways that impact daily lives. Helping churches understand and reconnect with our generation. Playing golf and sitting in the duck blind early in the morning rank pretty high up there as well.
