Updating the iPod

by Jason Hayes on July 08, 2009

I was recently on a long flight listening to my iPod and came to grips that my music library seemed to be getting a bit stale. My music tastes are diverse and extensive, but let’s focus just on worship music for this post. Here’s what I need from you. Give me what you are listening to. We, at Threads, would love to hear of any new albums, songs, or artists that we need to know about.

I’m not so much talking about contemporary Christian music as a whole, but rather stuff that might be played in worship gatherings as a vertical response to God. Don’t be shy. Speak to us.

Hey Jason, I attended Beach Reach PCB 2009 and was wondering if you had listened to Curt Vernon’s worship cd? He was the guy in charge of the prayer room. I downloaded it and it’s awesome!

If you haven’t listened to it, I highly recommend it.

It’s up for free here:

Jason,

That is all we do at our company and we have some great artists. Check out Phil Danyew and Sarah Reeves. Both are great. Also, Leeland has a new album this Fall that is excellent.

Hi Jason,

Here’s some of the worship music I’ve been listening to lately:

1) “Life Light Up” from Christy Nockels http://www.christynockels.com

2) “ACross // TheEarth: Tear Down The Walls” from Hillsong United http://www.hillsongunited.com

3) “Attention” from Kristian Stanfill http://www.kristianstanfill.com

4) “Compassionart” - Various Artists for a great cause http://www.compassionart.tv/

5) Kari Jobe debut album http://www.karijobe.com/

Always love listening to new worship music as I find it helps me articulate what I want/need to say to God in the various moments of life. Enjoy! :)
