Ready for Action
We hope your class is enjoying and benefiting from this month’s study of 1 Peter. The topic for this week was holiness—who sets the standard and what God expects from us. As you prepare your lesson, consider this quote on the topic:
“[Holy] sums up everything that makes God who He is—unique from everything and everyone else … God’s holiness reminds us that He is completely and perfectly pure, without spot or blemish.” —from Holy Vocabulary by Michael Kelley
The Web link for this week was a set of sermons by Andy Stanley. Unfortunately, at some point between the time when the Spring 2011 LifeMatters went to print and today, those sermons were made unavailable. In their stead, here are a couple of links to some other sermons on 1 Peter 1, courtesy of thegospelcoalition.org.
Ray Ortlund: “More Precious Than Silver”
Tim Keller: “Suffering—Why So Much Evil?”
Have a blessed Lord’s day!
