This week we’ll be studying a challenging passage from Exodus 32 about the Israelites’ abandonment of Moses’ leadership while he was on Mount Sinai. We often read this passage and see ourselves as the Israelites: quick to flounder in our faith when we’re too dependent on our spiritual leaders. But we can also learn some valuable life lessons from Moses’ reaction to the Israelites, like how to respond to the sins of others with compassion, rather than judgment. And how to model obedience to God and passion for His holiness. These are just a few of the concepts we’ll examine this week.
