Missing Something?

by Chad Jordan on December 09, 2008 to the LifeMatters blog

I know this is an early post, but we’ll just consider this one a bonus. It’s come to our attention that we have a slight printing mistake in the current LifeMatters Leader Guide. I use the word slight, but in reality an entire lesson is left out and another is repeated. If you are one of the lucky few who have the defective Leader Guide, I have made PDFs of the second and third lesson. This will allow you to have all the material that was missing and not need a new book. Who knows, maybe the defective books will be worth money one day, much like that stamp that was printed upside down. The odds are not great, but stranger things have happened. If you have one of the “special” books, e-mail me at lifematters@lifeway.com so I can try to find out how many were produced. Thanks for your cooperation in this and I am sorry for the inconvenience.

On a side note, I want to start doing a Tuesday blog post. It’s not that I need your permission or anything, but I do need your participation. I want Tuesdays to be questions from you, answered by me or someone smarter than me. It will be like the “Ask Abby” thing in the papers, except without the Maury Povich-like drama. I want this to be a resource for you. Ask questions about your class, your teaching, your walk with Christ, your fantasy football team, etc. You know—important things. I will do my best to answer them and suggest resources that may be helpful as well. These do not have to be just LifeMatters questions, I have a friendly team and will volunteer their services when needed. I may not post all questions, but I will answer them all. Let’s give this a shot. If I don’t get any questions I may make some up, but if this works out well it should be helpful. Send all questions to lifematters@lifeway.com. I am looking forward to hearing from you all.

Thank you so much for the PDF of these two lessons. Early Monday morning my wife was studying the lesson “BE THE CHANGE” when she started reading the next page she noticed a “Change” alright, (is that the new Presidental change?) then she saw the page numbers were 18 then 35.

Keep up the good work. Thanks again. Don

Don- I could have tried the whole experiential lesson thing. You know, doing a lesson on change by changing it up with another lesson. Not sure it would have communicated the lesson properly, but it would have been different. Sorry you were one of the lucky ones!

Awesome, thanks for the PDFs. I was about to go through the learners guide and piece together a couple of lessons myself!

Good work on the curriculum this time around. I am liking it so far.

Thank you for posting this. I was studying the lesson too, and kept flipping back to figure out why there was the Christmas content in the lesson that had started with ‘Missional God’ emphasis… As above, yeah, a lesson on change. Thank you - The .pdf was helpful!
