For all of you crazy young adult people out there eagerly awaiting the next installment of the blockbuster “LifeMatters Unplugged,” here it is. Check back tomorrow for the last segment if you have successfully survived the first two.

OK. These are great. Yes, they are not polished, professional quality. No, cool rollerblading dudes would not be caught dead in what Chad is wearing, much less what the folks on the old cover are wearing! LOL

Loved the comments regarding the packaging/graphics, etc. You might find it interesting to know that the first two people to gush over the cover graphics in my class were both 60-somethings! They loved the comfy-look. They loved the denim. They even sat down and grabbed a napkin and started sketching out ideas the graphics spawned for a logo for a themed party that they planned to host during the holidays. Yes, they are in their 60s. Yes, they are farmers/ranchers. But they are also savvy business people, adept at answering their cell phones while cutting cattle, and still competitive horsemen riding the show circuit in their totally tricked out RV complete with bluetooth technology. So don’t think that Life Matters not to those older than 30! Life Matters to those of us crazy enough to understand that we live in today, and Life Matters works for us too!

We are loving the discussion oriented learning process. No more lectures for us! We love the graphics. They pull you in to ask the question, “What’s this all about?”

The only negative comments I’ve heard have come from new believers who have no background in church culture, and those who have limited educational background. They struggled with terms such as “substitionary atonement”, and “iniquities”, and words such as “engender” in the first lesson. I’ve not noticed such “churchy” terms in the last two lessons, but please encourage your writers to speak not only to young adults, but also to new believers and those new to the church culture. Substitutionary atonement is a great theological term that might be introduced in the lesson, but please be sure to explain it in the learner guide or direct the learner to an online Bible Dictionary or Bible Encyclopedia.

Can’t wait for the next installment of “Unplugged”!
