LifeMatters Summer 2010 iMix is Available
The next issue of LifeMatters begins this week and I’m excited to see where this study is going to take us. Last issue was amazing and we heard feedback from many people about the things God taught them through their LifeMatters studies. The next 13 weeks are going to be spent examining 1 and 2 Samuel and trying to process how those principles and truths can impact our lives today. To get things started, you can purchase and download the Summer 2010 iMix today straight from my blog. Every issue there are people that have a tough time finding it and getting all the songs. So, this time, I’m listing it first here and later you’ll be able to find it on our LifeMatters page. Stay connected and let us know how the studies are going for you and your group. Share with us all the things God is teaching you so we can all be strengthened and encouraged as we all walk through this life together.

As a SS teacher of a young adult class, I am excited to begin our first study in the Life Matters curriculum. The Bible is alive and active and able to address our everyday lives and I believe we have long needed a study to help young people see how God’s word can make a difference in their day to day circumstances. In “When Leaders Fail,” although I’ve heard the story of Samuel countless times, I’d never connected the fact that while Eli and his sons were failing at what God had called them to do, He was already preparing the next leader of Israel. God is never caught off-guard; He’s always working for the good of His children!

You’re very right Sherry. I’m glad this is your first week and already you’re seeing something fresh and challenging. That’s our goal with this study. We certainly can’t create new ideas, but we do hope that God gives us insight that will challenge you and your group.
At times, we don’t always see His hand moving around us, but when we take a look back, it is clear as day. Looking back to Samuel, it is clear to see even in the midst of horrible leadership, God’s plan was proceeding forward.
I hope you enjoy this and future studies.

Thanks for the iMix on here. Although I use iTunes frequently searching for an iMix doesn’t seem easy. I usually end up just finding the artist and downloading the song. I have already made my purchase for the quarter. Thanks for making one less thing hard.

Want a good example as to the way that God can guide? My church recently has been going through what can only be described as a split due to problems with our leadership. Our singles group had just lost their leader (called to be a missionary) and I was asked to take over the class. I began to search for something new in a Bible study that would be new and interesting to the group here. I ordered this study without a full knowledge as to what was in it, but I thought I would look it over to see if it was something that I wanted to try (have to admit, I liked the video). I was blown away by the first couple of lessons, they hit the problems that our church is experiencing exactly at the right time. I will never ceased to be amazed at the timing of the Lord, and I look forward to what God has in store for us through this study.
