Keeping a Foot in That World

by Laura Magness on April 03, 2009 to the Collegiate blog

Hi Collegiate friends, I am one of the copy editors for the Threads team here at LifeWay and get to include Collegiate in the list of things I work on. In 2005 I graduated from Samford University (Go Bulldogs!) in Birmingham, Alabama and moved to Texas, where I got a masters degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. I joined the Threads team at the beginning of ‘08 and can’t get enough of this group of people and the ministry we have the privilege to do.

Personally, I loved college. Nothing beats spending every minute of every day with your best friends while living a pseudo-grown up life. Working on the Collegiate team allows me to keep a foot in that world, which is a lot of fun (especially for a j.o.b.). Like Lindsey said, we’d love to hear from you about things you’d like us to cover in the magazine—everything from the issues you deal with each day, to the musicians and movies that you’re really into right now, or the places you love to travel to. And leaders, let us know what other things we can provide to better help you facilitate your group times. Looking forward to hearing from you and hope you’re enjoying the Spring Collegiate!
