Give Aid to Haiti

by staff on January 13, 2010

If you’re one of the many people who resolved to grow spiritually or make a positive impact on the world in 2010, now’s your chance. Yesterday’s earthquake in Haiti demolished Port-au-Prince, the country’s capital, and brought down numerous homes and buildings including the presidential palace, hotels, a hospital, and the UN headquarters. The official number of people injured and dead has not been reported, but more than 100,000 are feared dead, and countless lives have been changed forever.

Maybe you’re not in a position to go to Haiti yourself, but there are ways you can meet needs from where you are. First and foremost, pray. Pray for victims of the earthquake and for the rescue crews who are already there and those who will be going later. Pray also for missionaries on the ground in Haiti, and for all who those trying to get in touch with loved ones.

Another way to help is to donate money for relief efforts. Check out these sites for quick and easy ways to give:

Don’t hesitate to use what God has given you to help those in desperate need.
