Forgiveness: When is Enough Enough?
I know the Bible says to forgive and I fully agree with that. I am thankful that Christ offers me a way to have my sins forgiven, but I am having a very difficult time with this forgiveness thing. It is simply something I struggle with. (If you play fantasy football, keep reading, if not this may not make sense, but feel free to read.) Take this past weekend for example…
I was faced with a daunting decision: start Matt Leinart or Rex Grossman. My gut told me Leinart would be in trouble, but I really believed in Rex Grossman because I have been working on forgiving and forgetting. So, for my fantasy football team named the “Nashvillian” I rolled the dice, went against the odds, and chose Sexy Rexy against a previously pitiful Dallas defense. I fully anticipated him having one of those days that makes you forget the 4 INT days. Unfortunately for me and my team, he COST me points! The goal of fantasy football is to score points, and Rex cost me points. How badly do you have to play to lose points! I would have scored more points by not starting anyone at all.
I now join the millions of Bears fans around the world in their “Griese” chant. Not sure he is too much of an upgrade, but at least I will not be tempted to start Wrecks Grossman ever again. Here lies my larger problem. Do I drop Rex or forgive and forget?

Griese - 3 int’s over the weekend. All in all, I’ll still take Griese. Or a well-trained monkey over Rex.

All I can say is Devin Hester for QB!

I can’t empathize with your pitiful choices. My fantasy quarterback options are Brett Favre and Ben Rothlesberger. My counsel to you: GET A CLUE ON THE DRAFT! <GRIN> jj

silly me, I thought Leinart was going to do something this year. How can both WR’s score points but the QB not right? Well now I am stacked at WR, solid at RB and week to week at QB. I hear Brady Quinn may start soon, I better go get him!

Michael, don’t tell me you’ve gone the way of the dark side [fantasy football] too? We’re just a small band of rebels struggling to restore freedom to the [football] galaxy - we need all the help we can get!
