Behind Passion’s Success
If you want to understand why Passion is a universal movement of God, try humility and a right relationship with the Father. The fact that Louie Giglio and the Passion team are walking away from a big event in 2008 tells you all you need to know: it is about His fame, not their own.
Two years ago, I had the profoundly awesome experience of serving on the Passion volunteer team here in Nashville. It was truly amazing to see that a huge and profoundly complex worship event had at its core a team of humble, godly people who truly were interested in seeing young adults completely change their idea of praise to the Father.
Passion succeeds, grows and thrives because Louie and Shelley Giglio and their team are sold out to God and not sold out to any earthly measuring sticks. Despite having more than 22,000 people gather in Atlanta for Passion ‘07, they decided not to hold a national Passion gathering next year. Instead, they are moving further globally and regionally in the U.S. in hopes of spreading the mission of Passion even more effectively.
This article I saw on the Christian Post’s web site gives you a great insight into the DNA of Passion and what makes Louie Giglio tick: “Interview: Louie Giglio on Chris Tomlin and the Worship Diet”

I totally agree … I’m always amazed by the leadership of Passion. Having had the opportunity to go to Passion ‘06 and Passion ‘07, I can totally see it’s a God-thing. They always desire to make much of God. I’m looking forward to seeing what God will do with the regional events and the world tour. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to partner with them too. Thanks for the link to the great article!
