BeachReach: Hey BeachReachers!!!

by Angel Ellis on February 26, 2009

I am SO EXCITED about seeing your faces in just a few days! Over a three week time frame we are an 800 man army for the Lord! God has a work for us to do in the days ahead. I hope even now you are preparing your hearts and minds for spiritual battle. Remember, the enemy does not sit in our cheering section. Therefore it is imperative that you are spending time with the Lord in his word and on your knees in prayer. I also hope you are reflecting on what God has been doing in your life and are prepared to share the hope you have with the spring breakers that God will place in your path!

LifeMatters: It’s kinda like Jack Bauer and Chloe

by Chad Jordan on February 20, 2009

I’m a sucker for action movies and TV shows. If there’s not some danger, risk-taking, or explosions, I’m probably not going to like it. Shows like 24, The Unit, and a new favorite, Burn Notice are my style. I like the excitement. I also like the purpose and mission these shows display. Each character is on a mission and it’s very clear. Nothing will stand in their way or interrupt their operation. Then there’s the new gadgets and gizmos they all use.

Q&A Journey Continues … “Ed Stetzer”

by Jason Hayes on February 20, 2009

I launched my not-so-impressive blog tour of Blemished last week. You can see that first video and my explanation for doing this HERE. This week, however, we have a new victim … I mean, friend. Thanks so much to “Ed Stetzer” and the real Ed Stetzer. He said some kind things and posted about the “interview” HERE.

LifeMatters: Powerful Words?

by Chad Jordan on February 13, 2009

I was a bit surprised this week as I studied this lesson. The first verse of the first two sections talk explicitly about “doing” something. Last week I mentioned we can know that God hears our prayers because we are His children. Well this week, we have a very clear indicator of what it looks like to be one of His children.

The Q&A Journey: Interview With “Pete Wilson”

by Jason Hayes on February 12, 2009

Although I’ve participated in blog tours in the past, I’m not a big fan. I think some exceptions apply for friends and ministry partners, but the concept just seems a little disingenuous to me. In an effort to not burden anyone, I had some fun “being interviewed” about my new book, Blemished, by some prominent bloggers that I really respect. Let the Q&A Journey begin!

Day 2: Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Distribution

by Jenny Williams on February 11, 2009

Today was such an incredible experience—almost hard to describe. After breakfast, we loaded up the bus and headed into the rather terrifying traffic to our first distribution site, a local Church of God of Prophecy.

LifeMatters: More Scooby Snacks Please!

by Chad Jordan on February 06, 2009

Just calling on God when I need something cheapens our relationship and causes me to miss out on so much of what my loving Father wants to give me. So our question this week is, “How do I know He hears my prayers?” Well the answer is simple: He hears your prayers if He is your Father. I would never turn my ears off to the tender voice of my daughter; there’s something in me that won’t allow it. I have to think God wired me that way for a reason. And if I’m that way even with all my humanness getting in the way, how much more is He like that? If you know Jesus as Savior and have a relationship with God then you can know He hears your prayers because you are His child.
